YouTube is owned by Google and as such, they tend to feature videos in their search results and count content you post there towards your overall authority score.
Use the description to make a link back to your site, it’s simple but people often overlook it. From an SEO perspective, it doesn’t matter where that link is in the description, but I like to put it upfront so that it shows up in the summary view of the text.
if people can click the link without needing to ‘show more’ on the text, my gut instinct is that it will tend to get more clicks than if it’s buried at the bottom of your description.
Don’t forget to title the video using your keywords and use plenty of tag variations on your keywords (you can use 550 letters in total, that’s a lot of tags).
